Morocco Officially Announces Start of Ramadan on March 23

The month of Ramadan of the year 1444 of the Hegira will begin this Thursday, March 23 in Morocco, the Ministry of Habous and Islamic Affairs has just announced.
In a statement, the ministry indicates that it observed the lunar crescent of the month of Ramadan this Wednesday, March 29 Sha’aban (March 22, 2023) after the Al-Maghrib prayer.
"All the units associated with the observation have confirmed the observation of the lunar crescent announcing the month of Ramadan".
As a result, the first day of the month of Ramadan 1444 of the Hegira will correspond to Thursday, March 23, the ministry adds.
