Morocco Nears 7,000 COVID-19 Cases, Ramps Up Workplace Testing

82 new cases of covid-19 were recorded on Monday, May 18, 2020. Now, the total of confirmed cases stands at nearly 7,000 (exactly 6,952).
As for the number of deaths, it remains stable with 192 people deceased for a rate of 2.76%. As for the cases of recovery, they were established at 3,758 after the census of 82 new remissions (54.06%).
Moreover, Morocco has become one of the few African countries to exceed 100,000 covid-19 screening tests.
According to the Ministry of Health, employees of several production units are being tested for covid-19 in order to counter the emergence of new outbreaks in the workplace.
