Morocco’s National Team Coach Faces Legal Challenge Over Assistant’s Dismissal

The dismissal last March of Mustapha Hadji, former assistant coach of the Atlas Lions, could cost the Morocco coach Vahid Halilhodzic dearly.
The news of the dismissal of Mustapha Hadji had surprised many football fans. He held this position before Vahid Halilhodzic took over the management of the team. The coach did not wish to part with him, but the collaboration between the two men was only short-lived.
The man did not live up to the expectations of coach Vahid. "Mustapha Hadji disappointed me a lot. I didn’t expect that from him. He played a double game. His behavior, I didn’t appreciate much. I trusted him. It’s my fault, I had chosen him. It’s sad," Vahid Halilhodzic had said in a press conference.
But according to Soccer212, the former Nancy striker would have filed a complaint for "insults" against the Franco-Bosnian technician. In addition to the current coach, Hadji would also have filed a complaint against the former coach Badou Zaki, who had described him as a "viper" in an interview published in 2019.
