Morocco to Pay $3 Million Severance to Former Coach Halilhodzic Ahead of World Cup

The now former coach of the Moroccan national team, Vahid Halilhodzic should receive compensation from the Royal Moroccan Football Federation (FRMF) following his amicable dismissal.
A check for 3 million euros. This is what coach Vahid should cash in following the termination of the contract binding him to the Royal Moroccan Football Federation (FRMF), report certain media. The dismissal of the Franco-Bosnian technician occurred a few months before the start of the next World Cup, which will take place from November 21 to December 18, 2022 in Qatar. Morocco owes him this qualification for the World Cup.
The former coach of the Atlas Lions is blamed for the poor relationship he maintained with some key players of the national team, notably with the attacking midfielder of the Blues, Hakim Ziyech, and the defeat of Morocco in the quarter-finals of the 2022 Africa Cup of Nations. His successor would be Walid Regragui, the coach of Wydad Casablanca.
