Morocco’s National Airline and Tourism Office Sign Landmark Deal to Boost Travel

Royal Air Maroc (RAM) and the Moroccan National Tourist Office (ONMT) signed, on Thursday, a protocol agreement aimed at promoting the Moroccan destination and promoting the relaunch of the national tourism sector.
This is a historic agreement, as it is the first time that the two institutions have agreed to join forces for the benefit of Moroccan tourism, says a RAM press release. Under this protocol, the two parties have agreed to set up new capacities for the benefit of international travelers and Moroccans living abroad, the same source points out.
Thus, "new routes will be opened and new communication tools will be developed following this signing," said RAM’s CEO, AbdelHamid Addou.
Concretely, RAM will proceed with the extension of its domestic network with new lines to cities that are poorly served such as Errachidia, Ouarzazate, Nador, Al Hoceima, but also by increasing its international flights.
For its part, the ONMT has committed to supporting several RAM tourist-oriented lines, which would have profitability and potential return on investment. Its CEO hopes to propel Morocco to the top of iconic global destinations.
