Change of course at the head of the Moroccan Olympic football team. The Royal Moroccan Football Federation (FRMF) announced, on Thursday, February 29, the appointment of Tarik Sektioui as the new coach, replacing Issam Charaï. This arrival is accompanied by a very good salary for the new coach.
This choice is part of the new strategy of the National Teams Committee, which aims to strengthen coordination and exchange between the technical staffs of the different national teams. Sektioui, who will receive a monthly salary of 300,000 dirhams from the FRMF, has a rich coaching experience. He has led several national clubs with some success.
Great challenges await the new coach. The Moroccan Olympic team must in particular prepare for the Paris 2024 Olympic Games. Sektioui said he is very optimistic about the ability of the Olympic team to achieve good results, stating that he will do his best to advance the team and meet the expectations of the Moroccan public.
The technician has signed a two-year contract with the FRMF. He will be responsible for supervising the training of the Olympic team and leading it towards its objectives, and especially having perfect coordination with Walid Regragui, coach of the first team, with a view to better preparing the 2025 CAN in Morocco and the next qualifications for the World Cup.
