Morocco Mobilizes Military and Gendarmerie to Combat Coronavirus Spread

In a state of maximum alert, the Ministry of Health has surrounded itself with the Royal Armed Forces and the Royal Gendarmerie to form a bulwark against the proliferation of the Coronavirus in Morocco.
The level of security and preparedness has been raised a notch, at the various border points and reference health institutions, according to the daily Al Massae.
These drastic measures were taken following the extension of the spread area of the deadly Corona virus, particularly in Italy, where the number of reported cases has reached 4 deaths and nearly 152 infected people.
A central mixed delegation, acting as a crisis unit, has been set up to monitor the evolution of the epidemic at the international level and to ensure the readiness of the national health system to deal with the risk.
On the orders of the supervisory ministry, all suspected cases at the entrance to the national territory will have to undergo a thorough medical check-up by the services of the Royal Gendarmerie and the Royal Armed Forces.
