Bank Employee in Morocco Arrested for $280,000 Embezzlement Scheme

An employee of a bank branch in Immouzer was arrested by the Royal Gendarmerie for his alleged involvement in the embezzlement of the sum of 2.8 million dirhams.
Several bank customers have complained about irregularities noted in their bank accounts, reports the president of the regional office of the International Observatory of Information and Human Rights.
Former employee of the bank, the agent would have taken advantage of the trust of his clients, and especially of their illiteracy, to carry out various embezzlements.
The individual did not take long to confess, during the preliminary investigation conducted by the royal gendarmerie. He admitted to having acted with the help of two other employees of the same agency.
