Morocco’s Military Ranking Slips in Global Power Index

While in 2018 Morocco appears in 55th place out of 136 countries (7th in Africa) evaluated by the specialized website Global Firepower, this year it occupies the 60th place.
The Royal Moroccan Armed Forces would have, according to Hespress, among other things 1,099 tanks, 2,720 armored combat vehicles, 530 self-propelled artillery units, six military frigates, five major warships...
Strangely, according to another ranking, published by US News and World Report, a power ranking only, all powers combined, the Kingdom would be 61st in the world after being 60th in 2018. Only one place lost. This list, it should be noted, only includes the 80 most powerful countries in the world.
We note the presence of Saudi Arabia in ninth place in the top ten of this last list which takes into account the strength of a country’s political and financial influence, its international alliances, the power of its army...
