Morocco Slips to 89th in World Happiness Ranking, Behind Algeria

Broadcast annually, the World Happiness study examines the notion of happiness in a majority of countries around the world and publishes its ranking on the occasion of the World Happiness Day celebrated on March 20. What about Morocco, in this 2019 edition?
The kingdom takes the 89th place worldwide out of 156 countries studied by the authors of this annual ranking created by the United Nations in 2012, four places less than the ranking of last year.
Morocco is ahead of Libya (72nd worldwide) and one place behind Algeria (88th) but is well ahead of Tunisia (124th).
Globally, we find almost the same as last year, the Scandinavian countries still leading the way: Finland, Denmark, Norway and Iceland, while the first Arab country, the United Arab Emirates, is ranked this year in 21st place. At the bottom of the ranking, we find Zimbabwe (146th), Syria (149th), Yemen (151st), Afghanistan (154th) and South Sudan (156th).
To edit the World Happiness, the authors take into account several factors including life expectancy, social freedom, absence of corruption, GDP per capita or social support, including the generosity of the inhabitants.
