Moroccan travel habits are evolving rapidly. Dominated by family stays, domestic tourism is increasingly turning toward alternative offerings such as tourist residences, camping, or nature excursions. This dynamic has made it possible to reach an unprecedented volume of 121 million overnight stays last year. For Tourism Minister Fatim-Zahra Ammor, this local clientele now represents "an essential pillar in strengthening the sector’s resilience."

To support this roadmap extending through 2026, the executive is deploying significant qualitative reforms. The new law 80.14 on tourist establishments introduces unprecedented control mechanisms, including secret inspections. In parallel, the ministry is betting on human resources through the « Go Siyaha » program to support businesses.
