Tourism record in Morocco: and now, the 2030 objective
It is an exceptional year for Moroccan tourism. In 2025, the Kingdom has shattered its own records by welcoming nearly 19.8 million visitors. A historic performance that confirms the effectiveness of the reforms undertaken and brings the country closer to the symbolic threshold of 20 million arrivals.
The counters are going wild at the borders. With a 14% increase compared to 2024, the sector is taking a new step. Morocco has never attracted so many travelers, proving the solidity of its attractiveness in the face of fierce international competition and an unstable global context.
This massive influx is concretely reflected in the state’s coffers. At the end of November, tourism revenues have soared by 19% to reach the colossal amount of 124 billion dirhams. Tourism is more than ever asserting itself as the engine of the national economy and a major provider of foreign exchange.
Heading for 26 million by 2030
This success is no coincidence. It validates the 2023-2026 roadmap: strengthening air transport, upgrading hotels and diversifying the offer. For Minister Fatim-Zahra Ammor, these figures illustrate the profound transformation of the national tourism model, which has become more efficient and a creator of local wealth.
The year 2025 will remain a strategic pivot, but the ambition does not stop there. The Kingdom now has its sights set on the 2030 horizon, with a clear objective: to reach 26 million tourists and definitively establish itself as a global tourism power.
