Morocco Launches Online Birth Certificate Service, Streamlining Access for Citizens

Moroccans can now request their summary and full birth certificates online, and receive them by registered mail, without having to go to the place of issuance, the Head of Government announced.
Saad Eddine El Othmani announced this on his Facebook account. According to the Head of Government, summary and full birth certificates are available online, and can now be requested directly on the civil status website, "www.alhalalmadania.ma", then accessed at home, via registered mail.
For El Othmani, this measure is a first step to facilitate access to public services for citizens living far from their place of birth, pending other new measures that bring the administration closer to the citizens.
Responding to the criticism of Internet users who cry out for the exclusion of certain municipalities, the day after his publication, the head of the Executive specified that it is a first step before the generalization of digitization to all municipalities, including rural ones.
