Moroccan PM’s Tweet Gaffe: ’Philippine’ Instead of ’Palestinian’ State Sparks Online Uproar

The blunders of the head of government, Saâdeddine El Othmani, do not go unnoticed on the web. Internet users, on the lookout for the slightest misstep, did not miss the big pearl he let slip in one of his tweets.
In a tweet, in reaction to the "Deal of the Century" proposed by US President Donald Trump, the head of the Executive wrote: "Our position on the Palestinian issue is unwavering. We reject the resolution of the matter and the Judaization of Al Quds. Nothing can replace the creation of an autonomous Philippine state with Al Quds as its capital."
His attempt to quickly catch the blatant error did not prevent the first tweet from spreading at a viral speed, causing a wave of astonishment, expressed in ironic and hilarious terms.
This is not the first time that Saâdeddine El Othmani has distinguished himself by a diplomatic blunder. Last May, he had commented on the situation in Algeria, which, according to rumors, had embarrassed the higher authorities.
