Morocco’s King Orders Government to Take Urgent Action Against Coronavirus Spread

Faced with the spread of coronavirus in Morocco, King Mohammed VI has given instructions to the Head of Government, Saadeddine El Othmani.
According to Saadeddine El Othmani, the sovereign has instructed the government to take urgent measures to effectively deal with the coronavirus. He was also asked to be fully transparent with citizens and to inform them as the latest developments of the virus on Moroccan territory.
The Head of Government shared this information with citizens during his appearance on the three main Moroccan television channels. He explained that rushing to stores is useless because Morocco is not at risk of shortages. He also reassured that a 3 to 4 month supply is already available.
In addition, El Othmani recalled the preventive measures to be adopted to curb the spread of the coronavirus. These include regularly washing and disinfecting hands, avoiding gatherings, and overcoming fear.
