Morocco Launches Mobile Consulate Services for Nationals in Sfax, Tunisia

The Moroccan authorities deployed a mobile consulate last week for Moroccan nationals residing in Sfax, Tunisia, and the entire region.
Thus, Moroccans were able to access numerous services, including registration in the Consulate General’s registers, application or issuance of administrative certificates, Electronic National Identity Card (CNIE) or biometric passport, certified true copy (legalization), or registration of births in the civil status registers.
According to the authorities, this initiative aims to "further strengthen their ties with Morocco".
In order to avoid Moroccans sometimes having to travel hundreds of kilometers for administrative procedures, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs regularly organizes mobile consulates in many countries around the world.
