Morocco Launches Mobile Service Center for Expatriates in Spain

The ministry in charge of Moroccans living abroad and migration affairs announced that the various institutions concerned with the affairs of Moroccans living abroad will be grouped together in a single mobile counter, which will take up residence from May 2 to 5 in Spain, as a pilot phase.
According to the ministry in charge of Moroccans living abroad and migration affairs, the objective of this initiative is to support and closely monitor the conditions of Moroccans in Spain. "This structure, intended to serve our compatriots, will be open in the various consular constituencies of the Kingdom," it informs. But above all, this program also aims to "raise awareness among Moroccans living abroad in general on issues that interest them, whether social, cultural, economic or administrative".
The department of Abdelkrim Benatiq indicates that this opening is part of a "program that will be implemented in Spain first before being generalized in the future to include other countries".
Today, Morocco, which is also developing this information, indicates that to succeed in the operation, the ministry relies on the consular registers, specifying that Moroccans in Spain constitute an important part of Moroccans living abroad, or 850,000.
The media also specifies that this program will be marked by the participation, among others, of the diplomatic and consular representations of Morocco in Spain, the Ministry of Justice, that of Equipment, Transport, Logistics and Water (transport sector) and the National Agency for Land Conservation, Cadastre and Cartography. In turn, the Customs and Indirect Taxes Administration, the Central Guarantee Fund, the CNSS and the IRCAM will be associated with the program.
