Morocco Launches Mobile Consulate Service for Expatriates in Switzerland

A mobile consulate at the service of Moroccan nationals in Switzerland. By organizing such an action this Sunday, November 25, the Moroccan Embassy wants to offer quality services to Moroccan expatriates and facilitate their access to certain procedures.

This initiative, implemented in collaboration with the Association of Moroccans Residing in Switzerland (AMRS), "aims, among other things, to bring the consular administration closer to Moroccan citizens established in Switzerland, to spare them the constraints of travel to the capital Bern and to support them in the completion of the necessary administrative procedures," said the Moroccan Ambassador to Switzerland, Lahcen Azoulay.

About 320 consular services were processed during this mobile consulate day. These include consular registration services, the issuance of biometric passports and national identity cards, registration in civil status registers, legalization of documents and powers of attorney, as well as other acts related to civil status.

This proximity action has been highly praised by Moroccans established in Geneva, as it allows them to avoid the inconvenience and hassle of traveling to Bern and to access a wide range of consular services under the best conditions.
