Morocco Launches Expedited ID Card Process for 2020 Baccalaureate Candidates

Candidates for the 2020 baccalaureate in Morocco do not have to worry about the establishment of the national identity card. The General Directorate of National Security (DGSN) has announced the launch of an exceptional operation for the issuance of identity cards for their benefit from May 18.
The issuance of identity cards is facilitated for candidates for the Baccalaureate 2020 in Morocco. It is an exceptional operation for the issuance of cards for the benefit of student candidates for the Baccalaureate exams, which will be launched on May 18. The operation is part of the government’s arrangements for the organization of the regional and national Baccalaureate exams, said the General Directorate of National Security (DGSN) in a press release.
For the success of the operation, the DGSN assures that it has mobilized all the data recording centers for identity at the national level. The centers have been equipped with all the necessary human resources and logistical and technical tools, the statement said. The police districts have also been instructed to facilitate the issuance of the certificate of residence, a key document for the issuance of the identity card, adds the same source.
The DGSN has also committed to ensuring the smooth running of this operation while strictly respecting the preventive health measures taken as part of the fight against the covid-19 pandemic. This allows to ensure the health safety of all the actors involved in this operation, in accordance with the DGSN’s commitments to implement the state of health emergency, to contain the spread of the coronavirus.
