Morocco’s King Mohammed VI to Make Official Visit to Madagascar Next Week

After Senegal, it is Madagascar’s turn to welcome King Mohammed VI on an official visit scheduled for next week.
King Mohammed VI will travel to Madagascar after his visit to Senegal, Africa Intelligence reports. He will certainly meet with the highest authorities of the country, namely Malagasy President Andry Rajoelina and Prime Minister Christian Ntsay. The strengthening of bilateral cooperation through the signing of several agreements will certainly be on the agenda of this visit.
The last visit of the Moroccan sovereign to Madagascar dates back to 2016. At the time, he had made a particularly symbolic trip to Antsirabe. "I presided, in Antananarivo, with H.E. the President, the Signing Ceremony, during which many cooperation agreements were established: they embody the will of the Moroccan State to lend a hand to the Malagasy government and to improve the living conditions of its population; this is the meaning of the projects for the construction of social infrastructures and economic development. Madagascar has undeniable assets to succeed," he had declared in an interview with the local press.
And to add: "Morocco is willing to accompany it with its ministerial departments, its public companies and its private sector. I will particularly encourage the Moroccan private sector to undertake projects in Madagascar, within the framework of an equal-to-equal cooperation with its Malagasy counterpart."
