Morocco’s King Mohammed VI Arrives in Dakar for Official Visit, Dispelling Cancellation Rumors

Contrary to the rumors circulating, King Mohammed VI did not cancel his trip to Dakar after suffering from the flu. Announced for weeks, this official visit will indeed take place.
King Mohammed VI is visiting Dakar this Tuesday, March 7, 2023, putting an end to rumors of the cancellation of this visit of friendship and work aimed at strengthening the "exceptional" relations between the two countries. Mohamed Sadiki, the Minister of Agriculture and Maritime Fisheries, is among the ministers who are part of the delegation, reports Maghreb-Intelligence.
In Senegal, the sovereign will discuss regional and continental issues with President Macky Sall. The two personalities will also discuss the development of bilateral relations between Morocco and Senegal. They will preside over the signing of numerous agreements covering various areas of cooperation between the two countries. The inauguration of two projects financed by Morocco will also be carried out: a fishing quay in Soumbédioune financed largely by Morocco for an amount of two million euros and a Entrepreneurship Training Center in Diamniadio near Dakar.
In addition, the sovereign will attend the delivery of 5,000 tons of fertilizers adapted to African soils to Senegalese farmers, in order to help fight food insecurity in the region.
