Morocco, Israel, and US Celebrate One Year of Trilateral Partnership, Envision Limitless Potential

Nasser Bourita, Minister of Foreign Affairs, African Cooperation and Moroccans Residing Abroad, participated this Wednesday, December 22, in the videoconference celebration of the first anniversary of the tripartite Morocco-United States-Israel agreement, in the presence of his American and Israeli counterparts, Yair Lapid and Antony Blinken. He believes that "the sky is the limit" for the partnership between these three countries.

"The sky is the limit" for the partnership between these three countries, and this "win-win" trilateral relationship "can be pushed further, according to the vision of King Mohammed VI, for the well-being and prosperity of our people and our nations," said the Moroccan Foreign Minister. According to him, this anniversary not only marks a simple diplomatic event, but it is the celebration of a shared past, present and future, and an opportunity to strengthen the long-standing ties that have always existed between the peoples of these three countries.

"With the United States, we are talking about a relationship as old as the United States itself. With the Jewish community, we are talking about a secular component of the Moroccan identity," added Nasser Bourita.

Morocco, the United States and Israel had signed a tripartite agreement in the presence of King Mohammed VI on December 22, 2020, a few days after the American recognition of the kingdom’s sovereignty over the Sahara in exchange for the normalization of diplomatic relations between Rabat and Tel Aviv. Since then, this partnership has seen notable progress.
