Morocco Invests 2 Billion Dirhams in Critical COVID-19 Medical Equipment

Part of the Covid-19 Fund has been used to finance the purchase of 1,000 new intensive care beds and 550 ventilators for a total amount of 2 billion dirhams.
We now know a little more about the orientation of the Special Covid-19 Fund.
According to a press release from the Ministry of Economy and Finance, these 2 billion dirhams allocated by the Fund to Public Health have made it possible to acquire medical and hospital equipment (1,000 intensive care beds, 550 ventilators, 100,000 sampling kits, 100,000 test kits, radiology and imaging equipment, etc.).
In addition, there are medicines (pharmaceutical products and medical consumables, reagents, medical gases, etc.), the strengthening of the operating resources of the Ministry of Health (bonuses for healthcare personnel, disinfection and cleaning, fuel, etc.).
For better monitoring of the fight against the coronavirus epidemic, the operations to strengthen the medical system will continue, in accordance with the royal guidelines.
