Morocco’s Internet Subscribers Surge to 31.3 Million, Driven by Pandemic Trends

The number of Internet subscribers in Morocco stood at 31.3 million in the first half of this year, up 15.1%.
According to the Directorate of Studies and Financial Forecasts (DEPF), the overall telephony fleet, driven by the boom in e-commerce, teleworking and distance learning imposed by Covid-19, has increased considerably.
In its recent note, the DEPF indicated that the number of Internet subscribers stood at 31.3 million, showing a growth rate of 15.1%.
The mobile Internet fleet shows an annual increase of 8.2% with 49.2 million subscribers at the end of June 2021.
As for the fixed fleet, it experienced an increase of 8.3% to 2.4 million subscribers during the same period, notes the same source.
