Morocco Implements New Health Form for Travelers Amid Coronavirus Concerns

Morocco is taking strong measures to maintain permanent vigilance in the face of the coronavirus epidemic that is hitting China hard and creating a general psychosis worldwide. A new control mechanism has been put in place.
The passenger health form, this is the new mechanism put in place by the health authorities of the kingdom in order to "better control passenger flows". The form is available on board planes and ships, and every traveler destined for Morocco will have to fill it out.
It will allow the collection of various information from travelers destined for the kingdom, including name and surname, date of birth, date of arrival in Morocco, seat number inside the plane, flight number, passport number or passenger nationality.
According to the Director of Epidemiology and Disease Control at the Ministry of Health, Dr. Mohamed Lyoubi, it is a "mechanism that has been put in place to better control the system for monitoring travelers who had China as their starting point".
"They will be directed to the health control service just for temperature control, which takes a minute, and the distribution of the awareness brochure available at the airport to raise awareness about the Coronavirus, and to indicate the phone number to call in case of symptoms appearing," he explained. "If the passenger does not show any signs of illness, there is no blockage at the airport or port," said Dr. Mohamed Lyoubi.
