Morocco Hosts Burkina Faso in Friendly Match as Coach Halilhodzic Evaluates Squad

The Atlas Lions face the Stallions of Burkina Faso on Friday, September 6, as part of the friendly matches scheduled to be held at the Grand Stadium in Marrakech. Vahid Halilhodzic, coach of the Moroccan national team, gives all players the same chance to participate.
Vahid Halilhodzic will not leave any player on the bench for the two friendly matches. Speaking to the press, ahead of the first one pitting Morocco against Burkina Faso on Friday, September 6, 2019, he stated that no one would be excluded from the national team, provided they deserve it.
The national coach intends to set up an expanded list of players. According to him, if he has made this choice, it is to better know the level of each player and to give everyone a chance. The Franco-Bosnian believes that local players are very talented.
For Halilhodzic, the national team is well prepared to start the two friendly matches (Burkina Faso and Niger). "Our main objective," he said, "is to improve Morocco’s FIFA world ranking and achieve the best results in the next African Cup of Nations (CAN) and the World Cup."
After his Friday, September 6 match, which will be broadcast at 8pm (Moroccan time) live on the Arryadia channel, Morocco will face Niger on Tuesday, September 10, 2019.
