Morocco’s Local Squad Edges Burkina Faso 1-0 in Friendly Match

The Moroccan team of local players beat their Burkina Faso counterparts in a friendly match with a score of 1 goal to 0. It was on Sunday, September 8 evening, at the Grand Stadium of Marrakech.
The two teams, at the end of the 90 minutes of regulation time, parted ways with the tight score of 1 goal to 0, in favor of the Moroccan national team of local players. The only goal of the match was scored in the 80th minute by Karim El Barkaoui.
Before this match, the Moroccan locals had already defeated the Nigerian team, on the annex field of the Grand Stadium of Marrakech. For this match, the Moroccan team won 2-0. Two goals made possible thanks to Amadou Harounan who scored against his own camp (12th minute) and the striker Mahmoud Benhalib, on a penalty (90th minute).
It should be noted that these two friendly matches are part of good preparation, before the double confrontation that will oppose the Moroccan locals to Algeria, on September 20 for the first leg, and on October 18 for the return match, which matches are part of the qualifiers for the 2020 African Nations Championship (CHAN).
