Morocco Highway Authority Refutes False Rumors of Toll Price Hikes

The rumor that the toll on Moroccan highways would have increased is false, just indicated Anouar Benazzouz, CEO of the National Motorway Company (ADM).
In a statement to SNRT, the official formally denied the rumors circulating on social media concerning a alleged increase in toll rates on national highways. These rumors mentioned a significant increase, with in particular an increase of 12 dirhams at the toll plaza of the Rabat-Casablanca highway.
Benazzouz thus explained that this confusion stemmed from an error that occurred during a toll transaction by a motorist. This situation was quickly resolved after the problem was reported and communicated to the company’s competent services.
The director insisted that the current toll rates remain unchanged, specifying that any future modification of the rates would be officially announced by the company’s toll plazas.
