Morocco’s Hamdallah Declines National Team Call-Up Amid Tension with Coach

Life is not a long quiet river within the national team, if we are to believe the latest rumors that report friction between the national coach and a player.
While Hervé Renard had called up Abderrazak Hamdallah for the match against Malawi, the latter bluntly declined, citing "family reasons". In reality, the Moroccan international would be unhappy with this call-up for a match without stake for Morocco since it is already qualified for the Africa Cup of Nations in Egypt.
The Al Nassr player would have wanted to play the match against Argentina (also without stake, let’s say in passing since it is a friendly match), against Argentine stars like Lionel Messi or Angel Di Maria with of course the international media exposure that this meeting will have.
Abderrazak Hamdallah can nevertheless boast of having a good record since the start of the season. He has thus scored 24 goals and provided 7 assists.
