Morocco and Egypt Eye Potential Pre-AFCON 2019 Friendly Match

While Morocco has not yet recovered from its defeat against the Argentine team (1-0), there is now talk of another match before the Africa Cup of Nations (CAN 2019) next June.
The Egyptian press reports the wish of the national football federation to play a match against the Moroccan team. This request was submitted by coach Javier Aguirre to local officials, however with a reservation. If the draw that is to take place in the coming weeks places the two teams in the same group, in that case the selector proposes the Algerian team.
For now, these are just rumors circulating in the local press and no information has been leaked through the Royal Moroccan Football Federation (FRMF) or confirmed by coach Hervé Renard.
During the last post-match press conference against Argentina, the French coach did not at all express his wish to play a friendly match as part of the preparation for this African Cup.
It should be noted that the Atlas Lions drew last week against the Malawi team.
