Morocco Coach Seeks Algeria Friendly Ahead of Africa Cup of Nations

The Moroccan national football team could play a match against the Algerian team before the start of the Africa Cup of Nations scheduled for next June in Egypt.
At least this is the wish of national coach Hervé Renard, who has just made the request to the Royal Moroccan Football Federation (FRMF), which, for its part, is currently looking for teams for the preparation of the African event.
Algeria is thus cited by the newspapers Assabah and Al Akhbar, which means that this eventuality is taken very seriously within the FRMF. Assabah, for example, indicates that the national coach has sent the list of several countries with which he wishes to play friendly matches, including Mali and Nigeria, two heavyweights of African football. However, we will have to wait for the draw to know the groups and the teams that the Atlas Lions can or cannot meet during these friendly matches.
A few days ago, the Egyptian media had reported that the local authorities had solicited Morocco for a friendly match, information not confirmed since on the Moroccan side.
Appointment in a few weeks for these friendly matches and in June for the start of the 2019 CAN with, let’s hope, a good performance of the Moroccan players.
