Morocco Coach Renard Eyes Schalke’s Boujellab for National Team

Little known just a few months or even weeks ago, the German player of Moroccan origin Nassim Boujellab could already join the Atlas Lions for the next CAN 2019. This is at least the wish of national coach Hervé Renard.
In an interview with E-media, the coach says he is closely observing him to see if he can bring something to the team. "There is a 19-year-old player who has been playing for Schalke 04 for the past two games, which is not a small team, even if this season it is having difficulties. I’m following him and I’ll see if he can bring us something."
Aged 19, the Moroccan player has just signed his first professional contract with the German team until 2022, the club announced on its website. "Nassim is a boy with potential. He wants to develop, as he has shown with us in recent weeks," his coach explained in a statement published by Schalke 04 a few days ago.
Born in Hohenlimbourg, Nassim Boujellab played his second match with Schalke 04 last Saturday for the 28th round of the German championship, a match lost against the Frankfurt team.
However, this sudden interest from Morocco could also arouse the interest of the German national team officials. The future will tell!
