Di Maria Sidelined for Argentina-Morocco Friendly Due to Quadriceps Injury

Moroccan fans of Angel Di Maria have reason to be disappointed. The Argentine Football Federation has just announced the absence of the Paris Saint-Germain star player due to injury.
In a message posted on its Twitter account, the federation talks about a quadriceps injury. "The footballer Ángel Di María suffers from a muscular lesion at the level of the left quadriceps, which will prevent him from participating in the next friendly matches of the Argentine national team," the federation writes.
The injury occurred during the Argentine team’s training session, which he had joined with the other teammates, including Lionel Messi. The Albiceleste is to play two friendly matches against Venezuela (in Spain) and against the Moroccan team on March 26 at the Tanger stadium.
It should be noted that the Moroccan team is to play a friendly match against the Malawi team today for the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations.
