Morocco’s Goalkeeper Bounou Highlights Scoring Woes After Friendly Matches

After the two friendly matches against Angola (1-0) and Mauritania (0-0), the goalkeeper of the Atlas Lions, Yassine Bounou, spoke about the lack of offensive efficiency within the Moroccan team.
The Moroccan team always creates an enormous number of opportunities, but the final gesture is lacking in front of the goal. This is how Yassine Bounou expressed himself in a statement to the Arryadia channel. "If we had exploited only half of these attacks, it would have been possible for the team to come out victorious from the last matches with big scores," estimates the goalkeeper of the Atlas Lions. According to him, his teammates do not know the origin of the problem. But Bono thinks that bad luck continues to accompany the team. The 32-year-old goalkeeper then urges his teammates to work harder in order to reverse the trend. The supporters of the Moroccan team are only concerned with victory, even if it was a friendly match, he added.
After the two friendly matches of the international break against Angola (1-0) and Mauritania, Morocco will face Zambia and Congo in June in the qualifiers for the 2026 World Cup. The kingdom will host the Africa Cup of Nations in 2025.
