Progress for the Moroccan futsal national team. The men of Hicham Dguig have risen to 10th place worldwide, according to the ranking published on Saturday by Futsal World Ranking.
A few months ago, the Moroccan Futsal team was in the world Top 15. But Youssef El Mazray and his teammates have had time to progress. With 1,429 points, they occupy the top spot at the continental and Arab levels, and the 10th spot worldwide. At the top of the ranking is Brazil with 1,796 points, followed by Spain with 1,754 points and Portugal with 1,744 points.
The Moroccan players qualified for the semi-finals of the Arab Futsal Cup after eliminating Libya (3-0) in the quarter-finals of this competition being held in Saudi Arabia. Morocco will have to beat Egypt this Sunday (2:30 pm) if it wants to give itself a chance to lift the trophy again.
