Morocco Faces Thailand in Bangkok Futsal Tournament Ahead of Asian Championship

The Moroccan futsal national team faces its Thai counterpart on Sunday in Bangkok, as part of the 2022 Futsal Continental Championship.
This is a friendly tournament organized in Bangkok from September 11 to 16 and which serves as preparation for the Asian Futsal Championship to be held from September 25 to October 20 in Kuwait.
In total, six countries divided into two groups are participating in this friendly tournament. Morocco is classified in Group A alongside Thailand and Mozambique. Group B is composed of Iran, Vietnam and Finland. Only the teams that finish first and second in each group will qualify for the semi-finals of this tournament, which is being held at the Indoor Stadium Huamark.
This friendly competition will allow the Moroccan Futsal players to face teams whose track record in the discipline is quite impressive. For example, Iran is ranked 6th in the world and the best team in Asia. It is also an opportunity for the Atlas Lions to prepare to face the African Cup of Nations to be held in Mozambique in 2024.
