Morocco Expected to Begin Ramadan on Saturday, April 25
Even though we have to wait for confirmation from the Ministry of Endowments and Islamic Affairs, it is very likely that Ramadan in Morocco will begin this Saturday, April 25, 2020. Here’s what the scientists say.
"The conjunction between the Moon and the sun will occur on Thursday, April 23, but the new moon will then be too young to be visible," says the Medias24 website.
On the other hand, the next day, the moon will be visible to the naked eye, both in Morocco and in many North African and Middle Eastern countries. They should therefore mostly start on Saturday, April 25.
Note that Morocco officially confirms the start and end dates of the Ramadan fast based on visual observations. The celestial body must be observable by persons authorized by the Ministry of Endowments and Islamic Affairs. The answer will therefore come this Thursday.
Bladi.net wishes Ramadan Mubarak to all.
