Morocco Announces Eid al-Fitr Date, Marking End of Ramadan on May 24

Eid Al Fitr will be celebrated this Sunday, May 24 in Morocco. This is what the Ministry of Endowments and Islamic Affairs announced this evening.
A statement from the ministry states that the Nadirs and delegates of Islamic Affairs throughout the Kingdom as well as the units of the Royal Armed Forces associated with the observation have confirmed, on Saturday, Ramadan 29, 1441 of the Hegira, after the Maghrib prayer, having observed the crescent moon announcing the beginning of the month of Shawwal.
The 1st of Shawwal 1441, the day of Eid Al Fitr marking the end of Ramadan, therefore corresponds to Sunday, May 24, 2020.
In France, as in Belgium and in many other European and Muslim countries, Eid Al Fitr will also be celebrated tomorrow, Sunday, May 24, 2020.
