Morocco Announces Eid Al Fitr to Begin Thursday, Marking End of Ramadan

Eid Al Fitr will be celebrated this Thursday, May 13 in Morocco. This was announced this evening by the Ministry of Habous and Islamic Affairs.
A statement from the ministry states that the Nadirs and delegates of Islamic Affairs throughout the Kingdom as well as the units of the Royal Armed Forces associated with the observation have confirmed, on Wednesday, Ramadan 29, 1442 of the Hegira, after the Al Maghrib prayer, having observed the crescent moon announcing the beginning of the month of Shawwal.
The 1st of Shawwal 1442, the day of Eid Al Fitr marking the end of Ramadan, therefore corresponds to Thursday, May 13, 2021.
In France, as in Belgium and in many other European and Muslim countries, Eid Al Fitr will also be celebrated tomorrow, Thursday, May 13, 2021.
