Morocco Enlists Top Digital Forensics Expert to Counter Pegasus Spying Allegations

Accused of spying on foreign personalities, Morocco is multiplying actions to dismantle these accusations described as a "conspiracy against the stability of the kingdom". After legal attacks for defamation, Morocco has decided to call on the services of a recognized computer expert whose role will be to expose the conspiracy behind the espionage allegations.
Morocco intends to provide proof of its innocence in the Pegasus spying case. It has become a matter of honor. This is why the authorities have seized a panel of experts from the Court of Cassation in France. At the head of these experts is David Znaty, president of the Company of Experts approved by the Court of Cassation. Their mission is to dismantle the accusations made against Morocco by Amnesty International and the consortium of 17 newspapers, including Le Monde, reports Atlasinfo.
Even though Morocco requested Amnesty International a year ago to provide evidence of its allegations, it does not intend to remain idle waiting indefinitely for its evidence, while its name is dragged through the mud, discrediting the good neighborly relations it maintains with France.
"Amnesty International is prevaricating to provide the evidence of its accusation", stresses the lawyer for Morocco, Olivier Baratelli, who recalls that "the Moroccan authorities have only one request: provide the evidence. And Amnesty is drowning in semantic considerations and tendentious reminders of the kingdom’s human rights record, instead of providing material proof."
Baratelli wrote to the Paris public prosecutor, Rémy Heitz, to offer "active collaboration" from Morocco in the ongoing judicial investigation, indicates the JDD. He is working to ensure that the magistrates receive the results of the investigations opened by the Attorney General in Rabat.
