Undocumented Moroccan Delivery Driver Arrested in Nîmes, Faces Deportation

An undocumented home delivery worker was apprehended by the Border Police (PAF) on Tuesday, September 2, 2025, during a control operation conducted in the city center of Nîmes. Subject to an obligation to leave French territory (OQTF), the Moroccan was placed in an administrative detention center.
The intervention took place in the middle of the day on Avenue du Général Perrier and targeted drivers working for delivery platforms. The apprehended man, aged 20 to 25 and born in Morocco, did not have a residence permit. According to a police source, he was also known to the services under several aliases, as reported by Actu.fr.
The checks also revealed that the delivery man was registered in the Wanted Persons File (FPR), although the reason for this registration was not disclosed. After an initial administrative detention, the prefecture of Gard issued an OQTF "without delay" against him. The law provides that he can be held in the detention center for a maximum of 90 days pending his deportation to Morocco.
