Racial Controversy Erupts as Pierre Ménès Claims "Eleven Blacks" in French National Team

A heated controversy erupted this Thursday, September 4th around the former sports consultant Pierre Ménès. The broadcast of an excerpt from an interview in which he analyzes what he calls "the reality of French football" based on the skin color of the players has been widely circulated, culminating in this sentence on the French national team: "today, there are eleven Blacks".
These statements were made on the "Bistro Libertés" show on the YouTube channel TVLibertés, a media that defines itself as defending "the French spirit and European civilization". Pierre Ménès was invited to come back on his accusations of "anti-white racism" in football, which he had already made on CNews in 2019.
To support his argument, he shared a personal experience concerning his 11-year-old son at the Torcy (Seine-et-Marne) football club. He reported the words of his child who would have felt ostracized: "They don’t say hello to me, they don’t pass me the ball, they yell at me when I have the ball and they don’t shower with me". Pierre Ménès then made a direct causal link with the origin of the other players: "and obviously, and I’m sorry to say it because it’s the truth, in the team, there were only North Africans and Blacks".
Based on this example, the former columnist then presented this as being "the reality of football in the Île-de-France region, and of French football as well". Continuing his demonstration, he added: "If you go see an honor division match in the Paris region, you’ll see that there’s generally one white on the field". It was following this reasoning that he formulated his sentence on the composition of the French national team.
The sequence, isolated and disseminated by TVLibertés on the social network X on Thursday midday, quickly went viral. It has been viewed several million times and has provoked strong criticism against Pierre Ménès from many Internet users.
