Morocco Enforces Travel Restrictions: Police Check Drivers for COVID-19 Permits

The Moroccan police are ensuring that drivers have an exceptional travel certificate during this period of total confinement due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
On the ground, the Moroccan police elements are asking drivers to show their exceptional travel certificate. They also recommended that they stick the document on the rear window of their cars.
Possessing an exceptional travel certificate is one of the requirements for any person who needs to travel to go to work, the pharmacy, the hospital, etc. This is one of the measures taken by the Ministry of the Interior after the declaration of the state of health emergency. This measure aims to counter the progression of the COVID-19 pandemic.
In Morocco, the official report shows 143 cases, 4 deaths and 5 recoveries.
