Morocco Emerges as Top 10 Destination for Brussels Airport Travelers in October

Moroccans have been numerous to travel via Brussels Airport in October, making the kingdom one of the important countries in the traffic of this airport.
Morocco is among the ten most important countries in the traffic of Brussels Airport in October. Also on this list are Spain, Italy, Portugal, Germany, Turkey, France, Greece, Switzerland and the United States.
The number of Moroccans who have made flights via this airport has increased significantly, reports Air Journal, specifying that in October 2021, these travelers had as destinations the cities of Madrid, Lisbon, Barcelona, Malaga, Rome, Milan, Istanbul, Alicante, Geneva and Frankfurt.
In total, 1,312,809 passengers traveled via Brussels Airport in October, a 43% decrease compared to the same period in 2019, but a clear increase compared to 2020. The airport recorded more departing than arriving passengers during this month due to the start of the All Saints’ holidays.
In terms of freight, the growth in total volumes was maintained in October, with more than 73,000 tons transported, an increase of more than 19% compared to 2020.
