Morocco Eases Entry Requirements: Negative PCR Test Now Sufficient for Travelers

Good news for the French or other foreigners wishing to go to Morocco to spend the Easter holidays. Unvaccinated travelers simply need to present a negative test less than 72 hours old to access Moroccan territory. "The new protocol is being finalized. It has already received the approval of the medical and scientific commission as well as the approval of the relevant ministerial departments. Only a few technical adjustments are missing," details a source at Le360.

According to the current health protocol, the traveler (18 years and over) must provide several documents to access Moroccan territory. Before boarding, he must present a health form to be downloaded online (also distributed on board the plane), duly completed, a Covid-19 vaccination passport and a negative PCR test less than 48 hours old (time between sampling and registration). On arrival, the traveler may undergo a systematic rapid antigen test at the entry points and random PCR tests are planned.

If the person tested positive is asymptomatic or has a mild condition, they will have to follow a home or hotel self-isolation treatment if they are a tourist. If the person has moderate symptoms, they will be taken care of in a public or private hospital. As for children under 6 years old, they will not be subject to any conditions. Travelers aged 6 to 18 must present a negative PCR test dated less than 48 hours and a rapid antigen test on arrival.
