Morocco Travel: Airlines Differ on PCR Test Timing Requirements

Airlines maintain uncertainty around the PCR test that passengers must present to board their planes for travel abroad or to Morocco.
The presentation of a PCR test less than 48 hours old at boarding is still mandatory. But the interpretation of this by the airlines is problematic: 48 hours "before check-in" for some and 48 hours "before the flight time" for others.
L’Économiste cites the example of the national airline Royal Air Maroc, which "logically interprets the 48 hours, in the broad sense, that is to say 2 days before the flight and can even display flexibility when there is a Sunday and the labs are closed in the country". As for the low-cost airline, TUI Fly, it "counts in hours and can send a traveler back for a PCR test of 48 hours and 40 minutes", reports the same source.
Since April 8, passengers arriving from abroad can access Morocco by sea with a negative PCR test less than 72 hours old without the obligation to present a valid vaccination pass. This new health protocol could be generalized for arrivals by plane. The government council is considering this.
