Morocco to Ease Travel Requirements: PCR Test or Vaccine Pass Soon Sufficient for Entry

The easing of the double requirement to present a vaccination pass and a negative PCR test for air travelers arriving at Moroccan airports is becoming clearer.
According to a government source, the official announcement of the lifting of the double requirement "PCR test" plus "vaccination pass" should take place by the start of the Marhaba operation, scheduled for the beginning of next June, reports Challenge. Once this lifting is effective, passengers from abroad will be able to access Morocco by air like those who access it by sea with a negative PCR test of less than 72 hours or a valid vaccination pass. "The authorities should decide, by then, whether this new provision will only concern travelers from green zones or not," adds the same source.
The easing of the double requirement to present a vaccination pass and a negative PCR test for air travelers as well as the Marhaba operation will not only facilitate the summer return of Moroccans residing abroad (MREs) but will also contribute to the revitalization of the tourism sector. It will also be a relief for professionals in the sector who hope to regain some financial health this summer.
