Morocco Diesel Prices to Surge 50 Cents per Liter on Monday

Starting Monday, October 2, the price of a liter of diesel will rise by about 50 cents. The price of a liter of gasoline, on the other hand, will not change.
According to data collected from the National Federation of Owners, Merchants and Managers of Service Stations in Morocco (FNPCGS), the price of a liter of diesel will increase by about 50 cents starting next Monday, while the price of gasoline will remain unchanged.
With this new increase, the liter of diesel should cost more than 14 dirhams, and the liter of gasoline should remain stable, around 15.50 dirhams. In Casablanca, the price of a liter of diesel is currently 13.58 dirhams at Afriquia, 13.55 dirhams at Winxo stations and 13.61 dirhams at Shell and TotalEnergies. Unleaded gasoline, on the other hand, is sold at 15.46 dirhams per liter at Afriquia, Shell and TotalEnergies, and at 15.43 dirhams at Winxo stations.
In other cities in the kingdom, the price of fuel at the pump is higher than these benchmark prices, due to transportation costs. To contain this inflation in fuel prices, the government has decided to renew its support for transport professionals.
