Moroccan Diesel Prices Surge Past 12 Dirhams per Liter, Shocking Motorists

A bad surprise at the beginning of the week in the service stations in Morocco where motorists have again discovered a rise in fuel prices.
In detail, diesel has crossed the 12 dirhams per liter mark at most distributors, reports Le360. In less than a week, diesel has seen two consecutive increases to reach around 12.20 dirhams per liter, an increase of nearly 23 cents. Meanwhile, the price of gasoline has remained almost stable, oscillating around 14.50 dirhams per liter, it is specified.
In Casablanca, for example, the liter of diesel is displayed at 12.20 dirhams at Afriquia, 12.17 dirhams at Winxo, 12.22 dirhams at TotalEnergies, and 12.23 dirhams at Shell. The cost of transportation also influences the price of fuels in other cities of the Kingdom, leading to price differences depending on the distance.
Two weeks ago, the price of the most used fuels in Morocco had also seen a sharp increase.
