Morocco Denies King Mohammed VI Will Attend Arab Summit in Algeria

The information that King Mohammed VI will participate in the next Arab summit to be held from November 1 to 2 in Algiers has proven to be inaccurate.
According to very well-informed sources, "on the instructions of the highest Moroccan authorities, contacts have been made with several Gulf countries (Saudi Arabia, Qatar, United Arab Emirates, Kuwait, Bahrain) to inform them that King Mohammed VI will personally attend the 31st Arab summit" to be held from November 1 to 2 in Algiers, reported the pan-African magazine Jeune Afrique. This information would be false according to the Moroccan journalist Mohamed Ouamoussi, close to the decision-making circles.
"A high-ranking Moroccan official source denies what was published by Jeune Afrique," he wrote in a tweet. Citing the same source, he indicated that "nothing has yet been decided regarding Morocco’s participation in the Arab summit." Any news regarding the participation of King Mohammed VI in the Arab summit in Algiers "attributed to the sources cited by the sources... has no credibility, regardless of the publisher," he stressed in another tweet. According to Mohamed Ouamoussi, only the official Algerian sources represented by the Moroccan Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Royal Court and others can provide such information.
